Pradeep Poudel

In 2014, my family and I moved to British Columbia, Canada, from our hometown in Bhaktapur, Nepal. I have a strong educational and professional background in the Environmental sector. I hold a Master of Science in Ecological Restoration from SFU, Canada, and an MSc in Natural Resource Management from Pokhara University, Nepal. Additionally, I have completed a Master of Arts in Sociology and have attended numerous courses, seminars, and training sessions in interdisciplinary fields.

Currently, I serve the Provincial Government of British Columbia in the role of Scientific and Technical Officer in the Ministry of Forest. I reside in Surrey, BC, with my family, including my wife, two young kids, and my parents. Outside of my professional life, I have a passion for traveling, hiking, writing, and spending quality time with family and friends.

I am honored to be the General Secretary of the Nepal Cultural Society of BC (NCSBC) and to serve the Nepalese community. I am excited about applying my educational and professional experience to benefit the Nepalese community in BC, and I am equally eager to learn from this vibrant community. Together, through small voluntary efforts, we can move our community forward and make it even stronger. I look forward to collaborating with all of you.
